About these videos

These video clips shows various aspects of my research on artificial creatures and complexity. Many people and students at IIM have participated to these projects including: Marc Bellan, Fabrice Houlné, Jean-Claude Torrel, Vigor Geslin, Guillaume Delescaze, etc. Many thanks to them.

Lifedrop

Lifedrop is a virtual ecosystem inhabited by small creatures called biomorphs. This was the 2nd version of the project. Biomorphs are composed of 3D buidings blocks, each one corresponding to a gene in the creature's virtual DNA.

Globular cluster

This video shows the formation of a globular cluster. The model is based on a hierarchical multi-agent system designed by J.-C. Torrel during his PhD.

This video shows a simulation of the universe at large scale. The model is based on a hierarchical multi-agent system designed by J.-C. Torrel during his PhD.

Life on the hyperscreen

This is an interactive implementation of the Game of Life on the hyperscreen. A webcam captures people moving in front of the hyperscreen and insert them in a very large cellular automata.

Metropolis on the hyperscreen

This is a video introduction of Fritz Lang's Metropolis movie. It was designed to show the multi-screen potential of the hyperscreen machine.

Go for it!

Go for it - Dating 3.0 is a project made by two students in three days during the IIM's buzzy awards. It shows a fake dating application in augmented reality. However this gives an interesting point of view about the future of mobile applications.
